As a doula I provide non-clinical birth and postpartum support for pregnant women and anyone needing support after their baby arrives by bringing a calming presence into your birth experience, regardless of what kind of care is needed for you and your baby. My goal is to be a gentle anchor that provides stability, comfort - and maybe a little fun! - for your birth and postpartum needs.

Helping you make informed decisions, advocating for your desires, and encouraging you in your goals, are all ways hiring a doula can help make your overall birth experience a positive one.  A doula will never speak for you, but will share knowledge of childbirth and help advocate for you to bridge any communication gaps or needs between you and your healthcare provider. You can lean on me (sometimes literally) when you need me most.

As a mom of two active boys I remember how overwhelming the season after birth can often be. During those tender (and tiring) first few weeks of postpartum, it's often hard to find time to rest, have a shower, or even enjoy a cup of tea. By coming alongside you, I'll provide comforting support and practical help so you can lean into this amazing - and often exhausting - season of life with your family.

By talking in person and asking questions before your estimated due date, I'll get to know you in order to help provide simple and practical support so that you can feel positive and excited about your upcoming birth or postpartum experience. We'll sit down over coffee, share what's on your mind, and help create your birth or postpartum preferences together so that you can feel confident in them.
